The short version
Pricepast shows price history on listing pages. To do that it needs to know which listing you are looking at and what price is shown. It does not need to know who you are, and it does not ask.
What we collect
When you open a listing on Rightmove and Zoopla with the extension installed, it sends us: the portal, the listing's public identifier and address on that portal, the asking price, the currency, the listing's status (for sale, sold, withdrawn) and public facts shown on the page such as surface, rooms or mileage, together with the date and time.
The extension also sends an anonymous device token: a random string generated when you install it. It lets us count how many observations a device sends and block abusive ones. It is not linked to your name, email or any account.
What we do not collect
No name, email address, phone number or account. No browsing history outside the listing pages of the portals above. No page content other than the listing facts described. No cookies for advertising and no third-party trackers on this site or in the extension.
Why we collect it
To build and show the price history of each listing, to compute the time on market, and to keep the service working (rate limits, abuse prevention, error fixing). Listing data is about properties and cars, not about you; it is the same information the portal already shows publicly.
How long we keep it
Listing prices and dates are kept for as long as they are useful as history: a listing's past is the product. Observation logs (which device token sent which observation) are deleted after [12] months. Device tokens inactive for [12] months are deleted. Server access logs with IP addresses are kept for [30] days.
Who we share it with
Nobody sells or receives your data. Aggregate, anonymous statistics (for example "listings tracked") are public. Our hosting provider, [provider] in [country of hosting], processes data on our behalf under a data-processing agreement.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you beyond a random device token, there is nothing to export or correct. You can reset the token at any time by uninstalling and reinstalling the extension, or ask us to delete all observations linked to a token by sending it to contact@[domain]. Where the GDPR or a similar law applies, you also have the right to complain to your data-protection authority.
Security
Data travels over HTTPS only. The database is not publicly reachable and backups are encrypted. We will tell you on this page if something goes wrong.
Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of [country]. The data controller is [company name], [address].
